Quite often, English learners wonder which part of speech should be used in the first position and which part of speech should go at the end of a sentence. It is a question most non-native speakers have. Let’s look at the order parts of speech and other words take in a sentence:
Noun + verb + object + place + time
This means that you don’t say,
He drank two beers last night in my house. ×
He drank two beers in my house last night.√
This is because in the first example, the place was mentioned in the end after the time. The time should go at the end of the sentence which is how it was done in the second example. That makes the second sentence the correct choice among the two.
